The rules

1- THE RULES

Pyrenees Cup tournament is organized by the ASSOCIACIÓ ESPORTIVA PIRINEUS 2026 and it is recognized by the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF), as well as by the Catalan Football Federation (FCF).

The IFAB Laws of the Game (International Board) will dictate the competition rules.

Registration in the tournament implies full compliance with these Regulations.

In all matches, there will be a 5-minute break to switch fields and there will not be any extra time. The organization reserves the possibility of shortening the duration of this break in case of a schedule delay.

Sports equipment must be removed from the changing rooms during the games, in order to facilitate their use by the following teams.

In order to facilitate punctuality at the start of the matches, the participating teams must leave the benches in the same conditions that they would like to find them.

If one of the teams arrives 10 minutes after the scheduled start time of the match (unless this delay is attributable to the tournament organizers) or with less than nine (9) players in F11 or five (5) in F7, it will be considered a no-show and the team will lose the game with a score of 3 – 0.

In case of rain, the tournament will also be played. If during the match the referee has the need to suspend it, the final result will be the one at the time of suspension. In case of suspending the match due to force majeure before the start of the match, 3 penalties will be taken. If it is not possible either, the result will be determined by a coin toss draw.

 

3- THE PLAYERS

All players participating in the tournament must provide proof of age upon arrival, such as a national identity card, passport, or federation registration card. Each player must wear their tournament wristband before the start of each match.

Exceptions:

• In categories B13, B14, B15, B16, G12, G14, G16, and G19, up to 2 players born one year before the category’s age limit may be called up.
• In categories B8, B9, B10, B11, B12, and B19, no players older than the established age for their category may be called up.

There is no maximum number of players that can be registered per match.

Each player must keep the same number throughout the tournament.

A player is not allowed to participate with more than one team in the same category. However, a player from a lower category will be allowed to play with the team of her category and also with another of a higher category.

All players who play in the tournament must prove their age by means of an ORIGINAL NATIONAL IDENTITY DOCUMENT or FEDERATIVE CARD. Any player who cannot prove his category and age will not be able to be enlisted in the tournament.

In case of improper alignment, the offending team will lose the points in this match, giving the opposing team the winner with the result of 3 – 0.

Sports accident insurance included for all players. Includes medical assistance in the event of injury or accident occurring during matches. Does not include travel assistance coverage.

 

4- THE SUBSTITUTIONS

 

All players that have been registered will be allowed to play. There will be no limit to substitutions during the match.

To make any substitution, it will be necessary to notify the referee before the player enters the field.

 

5- SANCTIONS:

 

A sending-off by 2 YELLOW CARDS will not suppose any sanction and the player will be allowed to play the next match. In the 7-a-side football categories, the expulsion for a double yellow card will mean the elimination of the player from the match with a change of player (blue card).

 

RED CARDS:

 

1. If the sending-off is made by being the last player during a game action, it will not suppose any sanction, and the player will be allowed to play the next match.
2. If the sending-off is made by a card accumulation, it will not suppose any sanction and the player will be allowed to play the next match.
3. If the sending-off is made by a DIRECT red card, it will suppose one match of sanction.
4. In the event of physical or verbal aggression to a rival or to the referee, it will be considered as SERIOUS MISCONDUCT and can suppose the expulsion of the tournament for the player, coach or even the full team.

The organization of the tournament reserves the right to expel any player from the competition for unsportsmanlike conduct, violence, incitement to hatred or racism, as well as for uncivil behavior in the sports facilities or in the accommodation contracted through the tournament.

 

6- THE T-SHIRTS:

 

All teams have to bring 2 T-shirts of different colors.

In case of a coincidence of colors in a match, both teams will agree to see who changes their mind or it will be decided by drawing lots.

 

 

7- THE TEAM STAFF:

 

They must be accredited and collect the documentation of the tournament as soon as they arrive. For teams arriving on Thursday, a meeting place will be determined for the reception and collection of accreditations between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. For teams that arrive on Friday, they must request it as soon as they arrive at the COURT CHIEF of the venue where they are going to play their first match.

They must present the List of Players with their respective numbers before the start of the tournament.

They must sign the Match Report before the start of the match.

They must ensure strict compliance with the rules established in this regulation, in addition to promoting sportsmanship at all times.

They must ensure strict compliance with the schedules established in the competition calendar, as well as guarantee the presentation of the team in the matches.

The D.N.I. and/or Federative Records will be held by the delegates of each team at the disposal of the Field Manager if required and if he refuses, he will be sanctioned with the loss of the match.

All claims will be submitted in writing and will be delivered to the Field Manager, who will transfer them to the Organizing Committee.

At the end of each game, the delegate of each team will go to the field managers to check the name of the scorers and goalkeepers who have scored the least, for the corresponding trophies.

The Tournament Organization will not be held responsible for any refereeing decisions that may either benefit or disadvantage any team.

8- THE COMPETITION:

 

GROUP STAGE

It is made up of groups and a league will be held with one match against each team.

The Group Phase will be played throughout Friday, and even throughout the morning of Saturday, according to each category.

The score will be MATCH WON 3 POINTS, MATCH DRAWN 1 POINT and MATCH LOST 0 POINTS.

In case of a tie in the final table, the following rules will be applied in this order:

1. GOAL AVERAGE BETWEEN TIED TEAMS
2. TOTAL GOAL AVERAGE (eg: 25 goals scored and 10 received = +15)
3. MORE GOALS SCORED
4. LESS GOALS SCORED
5. YOUNGEST TEAM

In the event of a tie between more than two teams, the head-to-head results between those teams will prevail.

At the end of the last game of the day, the final classification of the team must be checked on the tournament website, in the Competize app, or directly with the Field Manager or Category Manager of the Organization.

GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE STAGES (KNOCKOUT)

The Knockout Stages will be played according to the final position of each team in the Group Stage. Once this phase has started there will be no chance to claim for any mistake or inquiry

In case of a tied match during this phase, including the finals, there will be a penalty round of 3 shots per team. If at the end of the 3 shoots per team, they are still tied, they will shoot once each until one of them win. A player can’t repeat a shoot until all the players that have finished the match have shot at least once.

In penalty shootouts, only the players who are inside the field at the time the game ends can shoot. Only in case of injury can the goalkeeper be changed.

 

Special Rules Categories F7

 

In the F7 categories, the offside line will be the marked 12-meter line. If this line does not exist, the front of the area will be taken as a reference.

In the F7 categories, it is not allowed to score a goal directly from your own half on free kicks.

 

 

9- THE ORGANIZATION

 

In each field, there will be a FIELD MANAGER and two DELEGATES of the Organization, who will govern as JUDGES in any circumstance that arises.

Any sports complaint must be submitted in writing within a maximum period of 1 hour after the match to the FIELD MANAGER who will transfer it to the COMPETITION COMMITTEE to make the corresponding decision.

The ORGANIZATION is not responsible for theft or accidents that may occur, as well as for any damage, material or economic damage caused by any equipment. In the event that any establishment requests a deposit, the person in charge of the team must be responsible for it.

Participation in the tournament implies acceptance of the regulations established by third parties contracted through the tournament (sports facilities, accommodation, transport, and others).

Any fact that could happen and is not contemplated in these regulations will be resolved by the COMPETITION COMMITTEE, being this unappealable and the only judge, not being able to present any appeal on its decision. The tournament organizers shall not interfere with or be held responsible for any refereeing decision that may have affected any team from a sporting perspective.

If necessary, the ORGANIZATION reserves the right to modify these regulations.

 

10- BEHAVIOUR

 

The team that causes the suspension of a match, either as a consequence of the collective insubordination of its players, abandonment of the field, aggression against opponents, referee, assistants, managers, or technicians, due to the invasion from the field by supporters of the same team or for any other cause that leads the referee to order the suspension, will be sanctioned with the loss of the match by zero goals to three (0-3), except that at the time of the suspension, the result was unfavorable due to a higher score against him.

Each club will be responsible for the behavior of its players, coaching staff and family members, both on and off the pitch. Bad behavior can lead to expulsion from the tournament.

The accommodations are shared with people outside the tournament who deserve all our respect. Misconduct in the accommodations can lead the management of the accommodations to terminate the accommodation and food services without the tournament Organization being able to take part.

 

11- DATA PROTECTION

 

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), participants and their legal representatives are informed of the following:

• Managing registration and participation in the tournament.
• Organizing the sports competition and all activities associated with the event.
• Managing accommodation, transportation, and other services related to participation in the tournament when necessary.
• Ensuring the safety of participants and the proper organization of the event.
• Preparing standings, schedules, results, sports statistics, and communications related to the competition.
• Managing communications with participants, clubs, federations, and legal representatives.
• Promoting and publicizing sporting activities organized by Associació Esportiva Pirineus 2026.

Image Rights

During the tournament, photographs, video recordings, interviews, live broadcasts, and other graphic or audiovisual materials related to games, training sessions, award ceremonies, and other activities connected to the event may be produced.

The images and recordings obtained may be used by the organization for informational, promotional, sporting, and educational purposes through:

• The official tournament website.
• Official social media channels.
• Sports results and tracking applications.
• Video and streaming platforms.
• Media outlets.
• Printed and digital publications.
• Promotional and institutional materials.
• Reports, records, and corporate documents related to the organization’s activities.

Such use of images shall always be linked to the sporting activities carried out during the event and shall respect the dignity, honor, and image rights of all participants.

Live Streaming and Digital Distribution

In order to promote and publicize the sporting activities carried out during the tournament, games, ceremonies, complementary activities, and other event-related activities may be subject to live streaming, audiovisual recording, photography, interviews, highlights, and informational content production.

Such content may be distributed through:

• The official tournament website.
• Official social media profiles of the tournament and Associació Esportiva Pirineus 2026.
• Video and streaming platforms.
• Official sports tracking and results applications.
• National and international media outlets.
• Partner organizations, sponsors, and sports institutions associated with the event.

Participants and, in the case of minors, their parents or legal guardians acknowledge that their image, voice, name, sporting results, and other content generated during participation in the tournament may appear either incidentally or prominently in such publications and broadcasts, always within the informational, sporting, promotional, or documentary context of the event.

The use of such content shall not entitle participants to any financial compensation and shall always comply with applicable regulations concerning data protection, fundamental rights, and the protection of minors.

Legal Basis

The legal basis for processing personal data is:

• The performance of the contractual relationship arising from registration and participation in the tournament.
• Compliance with legal obligations applicable to the organization.
• The legitimate interest of the organization in promoting and publicizing its sporting activities.
• The consent granted by participants or, in the case of minors, by their parents or legal guardians where legally required.

Minors

The registration of minors implies that the club, sports organization, parent, legal guardian, or representative completing the registration confirms that they possess all necessary authorizations for the minor’s participation in the event and for the processing of the minor’s personal data and image under the terms set out in these regulations.

They also confirm that the minor has been appropriately informed, where applicable, about the processing of their personal data and the rights associated with such processing.

Data Retention

Personal data will be retained for the period necessary to manage the tournament and, thereafter, for the legally required periods necessary to comply with legal obligations or address potential liabilities.

Images and audiovisual content may be retained for as long as they maintain informational, historical, promotional, documentary, or corporate value for the organization.

Recipients

Personal data may be disclosed to:

• Sports federations.
• Insurance companies.
• Service providers necessary for the organization of the event.
• Partner organizations.
• Public authorities where legally required.
• Technological platforms used for managing results, competitions, or broadcasts.

No other disclosures of personal data will be made except where legally required or necessary for the proper organization of the tournament.

Data Subject Rights

Data subjects may exercise the following rights at any time:

• Access
• Rectification
• Erasure
• Objection
• Restriction of processing.
• Data portability.
• Withdrawal of consent, where applicable.

To exercise these rights, individuals may contact the Data Controller by written communication sent to the postal address or email address provided above.

Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) at www.aepd.es if they believe that the processing of their personal data does not comply with applicable regulations.

Acceptance

Registration and participation in the tournament imply acceptance of these conditions regarding the processing of personal data and the use of images within the framework of sporting activities organized by Associació Esportiva Pirineus 2026.
